Our board of directors has been busy strategically recruiting new members to round out our board. We’ve been working to ensure that we have the right set of skills and the right talent leading the organization. All of this work has paid off as we now have 12 highly skilled and motivated board members.

Becky Daggett
Becky holds a Bachelor’s in Public Relations and an MS in Sustainable Communities. Becky has more than a decade of experience in public policy development and advocacy, fundraising, marketing, public relations, media relations, running candidate and issue campaigns, and program planning and implementation. Becky has helped to create several non-profit organizations and has raised more than $2 million for non-profits, political candidates, and issue campaigns.Locally, Becky has managed campaigns for three successful open space and parks measures—including the Coconino Parks & Open Space Program that build the amphitheatre at Fort Tuthill. Becky has served and on the board of directors for Theatrikos Theatre Company for five years.

Al White
Al White is a third term City Councilmember for the City of Flagstaff. He joined the Theatrikos Board of Directors to help with funding after getting season tickets and realizing what a treasure we have for local theatre here in Flagstaff. Al is also currently the Council liason to the Flagstaff Cultural Partners Board and strong supporter of the Arts for what they bring to the Community. Prior to 2000 he owned and operated a recycling company in Flagstaff and is a Certified Hotel Administrator with twenty years in the business both at Grand Canyon and in Flagstaff. He holds a BA in Communication Studies from the University of Massachusetts prior to moving to Arizona in 1976.

TED DWYER, Certified Financial Planner, Dwyer Financial
Ted Dwyer moved to Flagstaff in 1988 and for a while was the only Certified Financial Planner in the area. He owns and operates Dwyer Financial, an independent comprehensive planning firm. He is a past president of the Northland Preparatory Academy board, the Flagstaff Independent Business Alliance and the Arizona Financial Education Association. He currently serves on the Flagstaff Industrial Development Authority and as a director of the Arizona Central Credit Union. Ted joined the Theatrikos board in 2011. He is active in Absurdists Admittedly and is a practicing poet.

LIZ GROBSMITH, PhD, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at NAU
Liz has served Northern Arizona University as Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs since 2002. Previously, she served as Dean of the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Utah State University, and as Dean of the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. An anthropologist, Liz spent 25 years teaching and conducting research at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. During all her years in higher education administration, Liz has been an avid theatergoer and fan, as well as an active participant in musical performance. Liz earned a Bachelor of Music from The Ohio State University in vocal performance, graduating in 1967. She then pursued both masters and doctoral degrees at the University of Arizona in Tucson in anthropology, and has spent her career working with various Native American groups, including Indian prisoners. Liz has served on a variety of boards, in support of opera, music and theater.

STAN SUTHERLAND, Retired Deputy General Counsel, S.C. Johnson and Sons
Stan Sutherland holds a BS and MS in Physics as well as a law degree. He retired as Deputy General Counsel of S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. in 2004 and moved to Arizona. He has lived in Flagstaff since 2009. Stan has been involved in community theater productions, primarily as an actor, since 1964. He served on the Board of the Racine Theatre Guild in Racine, Wisconsin, and he was President of the Board of the Verde Valley Theatre from 2006 through 2008. Stan also served as President of the Cottonwood Ranch Homeowners’ Association from 2005 through 2007. He is currently a part-time volunteer docent at Lowell Observatory, and he has been a member of the Theatrikos Board since June of 2010. Stan directed Laughing Stock at Theatrikos in 2010 and has appeared in several Theatrikos productions, most recently as Dr. Watson in Sherlock’s Last Case.
