A common misconception about Theatrikos is that we survive solely on ticket sales. In fact, close to 60% of the theatre’s budget is generated from grants and the support of donors and underwriters to produce plays, workshops and for routine maintenance of our aging facility. Because of this, patrons receive twice the value in entertainment for every dollar spent to attend a performance at Theatrikos.
Because Theatrikos is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, your contribution is fully tax-deductable to the fullest extent allowed by law.
According to a study performed by Americans for the Arts, as of January 2011, Arizona is home to 13,871 arts-related businesses that employ 47,762 people. These arts-centric businesses play an important role in building and sustaining economic vibrancy. They employ a creative workforce, spend money locally, generate government revenue, and are a cornerstone of tourism and economic development.
We hope that you will consider giving to Theatrikos Theatre Company. For over 40 years Theatrikos has created a safe environment for the entire community to come and explore the art of theatre. Local youth have been given a creative outlet and unique learning experiences, while actors and audiences alike are challenged to contemplate thought-provoking ideas. We are inclusive and reach out into the community to discover new talent and to help people discover their place within the arts. We encourage our volunteers and patrons to explore theatre and an art form critical to the cultural and economic health and wellbeing of our community.
