LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Theatrikos Theatre Company respectfully acknowledges that we are on the ancestral and unceded homelands of Indigenous peoples who have stewarded this land for generations. This includes the Hopi, Diné (Navajo), Havasupai, Hualapai, Southern Paiute, Zuni, and the 13 tribes historically tied to the San Francisco Peaks, a mountain sacred to many Native Nations in the region.

We recognize that this land was taken through colonization and that the systems and structures we benefit from today were built on the dispossession and displacement of Indigenous peoples. We honor their enduring presence, cultures, and contributions past, present, and future.

At Theatrikos, we are committed to uplifting Indigenous voices and histories through our work, and to engaging in practices that support justice, healing, and meaningful relationships with Native communities.

This acknowledgment is only a beginning. We invite our audiences, artists, and community members to learn more, reflect deeply, and take action in solidarity with Native nations.
