CANCELED Auditions! 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche

Auditions are canceled for now. If we’re able to reschedule this show later in our season, we’ll post a new audition notice.

Directed by Allison Ballou and Kelsey Hontz

Looking for five women ages 18 and up to perform in this hilarious comedy about quiches and commies.

AUDITION DATES: April 12th and 13th, 6:30PM (Please attend one date or the other) at Theatrikos, 11 W. Cherry Avenue in Flagstaff.

AUDITION TYPE: Cold Read.  No preparation necessary, but scripts are available for perusal and can be checked out from the Theatrikos Box Office.

PERFORMANCE DATES: June 19-28 (Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30, Sundays 2:00) at the Montoya Center next to Thorpe Park.

SYNOPSIS: It’s 1956 and the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein are having their annual quiche breakfast.  Will they be able to keep their col when Communists threaten their idyllic town?  A madcap comedy about the lengths five women will go to for a really good quiche.

CHARACTERS:

-LULIE (Age 30 to 45): Leader of the Society.  Projects gravitas and is physically domineering.

-WREN (Age 30 and UP): Very excitable and passionate.  Has a crush on Ginny.

-GINNY (Age 18 to 30): Newest member of the society from Britain.  Rather naive and inexperienced.  Must have a British accent.

DALE (Age 18 to 30): Scatter brained, head in the clouds, has never interacted with a man.

-VERN (Age 30 and UP): Hard exterior, slow to reveal herself to others, the stereotypical “butch” one in the group.

Actors of all experience welcome and encouraged to audition.  Please e-mail any questions to co-director Allison.  We look forward to seeing you at auditions!
