November 19, 2026 – December 20, 2026

Runtime: 2 hours, including one 15-minute intermission

Appropriate for all ages.

Join the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future as they lead the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge on a journey of transformation and redemption. This music-infused production captures the magic and joy of Dickens’s Yuletide classic, with familiar characters, ghosts and a children’s ensemble in the spirit of the holidays.

CREATIVE TEAM

Justus was born and raised in Prescott, Arizona and has been involved in professional theatre across the Southwest for over 20 years. He currently acts as the Artistic Programs Manager for the Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival, and manager of the Beaver Street Theatre. His directing credits include Julius Caesar (2024) and King Lear (2025), both with FlagShakes. Other theatre companies that Justus has worked with, either as an artist or administrator, include Southwest Shakespeare Company, Utah Shakespeare Festival, and his hometown’s own Laark Productions. Justus holds a bachelor’s degree in theatre performance from Northern Arizona University. He owes much of the joy in his life to his wife, Bree, who is a career journalist and the current host of Morning Edition at KNAU public radio. Together they are the proud parents of 2 rescue dogs (Jill and Sonora) and a cat (Indigo). In his spare time, Justus enjoys hiking,
powerlifting, horror movies, and frequenting Flagstaff’s many excellent coffee shops and microbreweries.

Costume Design

Tommy is very excited to be designing his first show for Theatrikos. He completed a bachelor’s degree in Costume Design from the NAU Theater Department many many years ago. Since then, she has made an array of pretty things for cyclists, brides, nerds, and drag queens. You might have seen their work gracing the FlagShakes stage in God of Vengeance, Indecent, and The Duchess of Malfi. Witty and insightful conclusion of gratitude.

Kelsey Hontz

Production Stage Manager

Kelsey is delighted to return to the place where her stage management career began in Flagstaff for this production of A Christmas Carol. You may have seen her backstage (or occasionally onstage!) with FlagShakes under the summer rep tent, as a puppeteer in a few Theatrikos musicals, or commandeering the microphone at a karaoke night or local drag show. You may even recognize her voice as an Audio Description narrator on select Netflix and Discovery channel programs! Thank you so much for supporting real human art.
