DORIS HARPER-WHITE PLAYHOUSE

Home to Theatrikos Theatre Company since 1989, the Doris Harper-White Playhouse is a cherished historic gem nestled in the heart of downtown Flagstaff. Originally built in the 1920s as a community hall, the building blends vintage charm with modern performance amenities. Named in honor of longtime Flagstaff arts advocate, and founding member, Doris Harper-White, the playhouse stands as a vibrant symbol of local creativity, connection, and cultural legacy.

Theatrikos Theatre Company is located at 11 West Cherry Avenue in the heart of historic downtown Flagstaff – just steps from Heritage Square and a short drive from 1-40 and Route 66. Nestled at the base of the San Francisco Peaks, our theatre is easily accessible from all parts of Northern Arizona, including Sedona, Prescott, and the Grand Canyon region. Whether you’re visiting from out of town or a local making a night of it, getting to Theatrikos is simple and scenic.

PUBLIC TRANSIT

Getting to Theatrikos Theatre Company by public transit is simple and sustainable. We’re just a short walk from several Mountain Line bus stops serving downtown Flagstaff, including Routes 4 and 5, which stop near Heritage Square and Wheeler Park, just steps from the theatre entrance.

The Downtown Connection Center (DCC), Flagstaff’s central transit hub, is only a 10-minute walk away and connects to all major bus routes across the city.

Taking public transit is a great way to avoid parking and enjoy a night out in downtown Flagstaff with ease.

PARKING AT THEATRIKOS

Parking near Theatrikos Theatre Company is convenient and accessible. Street parking around the theatre is just $1 per hour, with free parking available after 5:00 PM on weekdays and all day on weekends. You’ll find self-serve kiosks located throughout downtown, or you can skip the kiosk by using the free Flowbird mobile app for easy, on-the-go payment. Download the Flowbird app here.

Several public lots and garages are also just a short walk away, including the Aspen Street Lot and the Phoenix Avenue Lot.

Free street parking is available throughout downtown Flagstaff after 5:00 PM on weekdays and all day on weekends. In addition, there are several nearby public parking lots and garages just a short walk from the theatre, including the Aspen Street Lot and the Phoenix Avenue Lot. Please allow a little extra time during peak downtown hours or special events. Accessible parking is available directly in front of the theatre on Cherry Avenue.

Arizona Snowbowl

Arizona Snowbowl is located on the western slope of Mount Humphreys, the tallest point in the state. Humphreys is the most recognizable point on the San Francisco Peaks, which are north of Flagstaff. “The Peaks,” as they are often known, are what remains of an eroded, dormant stratovolcano that was formed between 500,000 and 1,000,000 years ago.

Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course

Flagstaff Extreme Adventure course is an elevated obstacle course set in the tall Ponderosa Pines and securely suspended between the trees at 15 to 60 feet off the ground. With 5 courses total and over 80 obstacles to test your limits, Flagstaff Extreme is the largest suspended challenge course in Arizona!

Lowell Observatory

For more than 130 years, Lowell Observatory has connected people to the universe, through education, exploration and discovery. Their mission is to pursue the study of astronomy, especially the study of our solar system and its evolution; to conduct pure research in astronomical phenomena; and to maintain quality public education and outreach programs to bring the results of astronomical research to the general public.

Museum of Northern Arizona

The Museum of Northern Arizona (MNA) is a private, non-profit, educational institution located in Flagstaff, Arizona at the base of the beautiful San Francisco Peaks. The Museum was founded in 1928 by a group of Flagstaff citizens to protect and preserve the natural and cultural heritage of Northern Arizona through research, collections, conservation, and education.
